RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch: 27th - 29th January
Every year the RSPB host the Big Garden Bird Watch, which is a vital piece of research to see how the British wild bird population is faring. Wild bird numbers have been declining in the last 50 years due to climate change and loss of habitat, so it is important to see how our birds are getting on.
It's free to participate in the Big Garden Bird Watch - all you need to do is sign up for a pack on the RSPB website, pick a location such as your garden or local park, and spend an hour recording the number and species of bird that land in your chosen spot. Results can be submitted online or via post. Over 1 million people took part last year - what will you see this year?
