Beaphar Fly Guard is a veterinary strength medicine containing ivermectin, which is effective for preventing blow fly strike on your pet for up to 3 months after application. Suitable for use in rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets from 10 weeks of age. One bottle contains up to 5 treatments.

Fly strike in rabbits and guinea pigs is usually caused by poor hutch hygiene or faeces sticking to the animal's rear end, both of which attract flies to lay their eggs on the animal. For maximum efficacy, the hutch should be cleaned and any faeces removed before use. 

Fly strike is incredibly serious and if your pet is already infested with maggots you MUST seek veterinary attention immediately. Fly strike can result in death. Do not use on cats.
